Our Evolving Story

In 2003 Seena B. Frost M. Div., MA, LMFT and Kylea Taylor, MS, LMFT trained the first cohort of SoulCollage® Facilitators to teach Seena’s groundbreaking and transformative expressive arts process known as SoulCollage®.

Facilitator Training attracted participants from all over the world, and SoulCollage® quickly became a global phenomenon. Today, over 6,300 Facilitators representing 64 countries have completed the Training program. Seena’s award winning book, SoulCollage® Evolving, has now been published in seven languages.

As President of SoulCollage Inc., Kylea and her husband Jim Schofield faithfully stewarded the vision Seena entrusted to them for over twenty years. In 2024, they established the SoulCollage Institute, a California non-profit organization, to ensure that the SoulCollage® method as Seena developed it would continue to transform lives and positively impact the world for generations to come.

Our Continuing Mission

The mission of the SoulCollage Institute is to facilitate use of the SoulCollage® method and perspective to foster and support self-awareness, relational awareness, community, inclusivity, and social justice through communication, education, training, and research.

In service to this mission, the Institute trains and supports a global network of SoulCollage® Facilitators to create nourishing, inclusive, cooperative, and creative communities, where anyone can discover their wisdom, answer their life’s questions, and change their world using the transformational method of collaging, consulting, and sharing their own SoulCollage® cards.

Community Values

SoulCollage® Founder, Seena Frost, spoke passionately and often about the shift in consciousness that was happening and needed in order for humanity to thrive in the future. 

After publishing her book, SoulCollage® Evolving in 2001, Kylea Taylor  and James Schofield partnered with Seena to create a new paradigm organization built on values of cooperation, community, inclusivity, integrity, diversity, generosity, and humor. 

Ten years later, Seena recorded SoulCollage® & Paradigm Shift, outlining seven elements of SoulCollage® that support and complement the Evolutionary Shift.  She believed that SoulCollage® and our community had a role to play in this evolution and thousands of us now share in her vision and carry it forward.

  • The interrelatedness of all beings on this living planet, and, at the same time, the special uniqueness of each and every one. We are part of one living, unified planet and we are many unique and diverse beings. Both/And. 

  • The building of safe communities where diverse people can share with one another spontaneous wisdom, and where it will be listened to, written down and honored. 

  • A flexibility of soul that allows and even encourages people to honor the diverse perspectives both inside themselves and in the communities of the world. Then to look for underlying patterns in these knowings that will lead to balance, to inclusiveness, and to working for the health of the whole. 

  • Learning to use our imaginations and our intuition and helping the world’s cultures to honor these as well. 

  • The rising of the Feminine: developing and using empathic, relational energies, that will balance Masculine, rational and action-oriented energies.

  • A new, yet very old, spirituality that will serve as an essential underpinning for this new paradigm. This process is not aligned with any particular religion. Nothing and no one is excluded, not ever. For many people, past and present, this formless, ever-present Oneness is experienced as Love and felt to have intention. This is the basic spiritual underpinning of the new paradigm. 

  • Laughter and humor are ever at the heart of any serious change.
