Meet Our Board of Directors

  • SoulCollage Institute President & CEO LeAnne Thomas

    LeAnne Thomas, President & CEO

LeAnne’s vocational journey with SoulCollage® began in 2016 after completing the Facilitator Training, where she discovered a profound connection with the practice and its community. Just having completed a two-year certification in Spiritual Direction and embarking on another in Dreamwork with the Haden Institute, LeAnne recognized SoulCollage® as the vital bridge uniting her love of depth psychology, creative expression, and spiritual evolution. Her final project for the Haden dreamwork program was an e-book entitled Three Ways to Explore Your Dreams with SoulCollage®

LeAnne first began weaving her love of writing into her SoulCollage® journey by contributing articles to the organization’s newsletters. In 2018, this creative collaboration deepened when she joined SoulCollage Inc. as Executive Newsletter Editor—soon becoming a trusted voice and valued contributor to the organization’s unfolding story. Drawing on her corporate and technical background, she helped guide the launch of the renewed SoulCollage® website and the World of SoulCollage® online community in 2020, expanding the ways people could connect and create together. Later that year, after deep soul-searching, she felt called to release her fifteen-year management career in financial technology and follow the quiet, insistent pull of her Soul—devoting herself to SoulCollage®, writing, spiritual direction, and the sacred work of facilitating dream-sharing circles.

In 2022, she became a SoulCollage® Facilitator Trainer, further deepening her commitment to empowering Facilitators and fostering the growth of the SoulCollage® movement worldwide. During her tenure as a Trainer, she spearheaded the development of a revised Training Guide, updated materials, and refined the organization of online Training platform to be adaptable for fully online, in person and hybrid offerings.

Now, as Director of the SoulCollage Institute, LeAnne continues to champion creative and contemplative practices that awaken self-discovery, transformation, and connection. She believes that images, stories, and dreams offer profound pathways to wisdom—and that her true vocation is to uplift and inspire others on their own journeys of becoming.

  • SoulCollage Institute Board Member Marilynne Garrison

    Marilynne Garrison, M.A., LMFT

Marilynne was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University where she received her Masters of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology, and is licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist. She has worked in multiple Community Mental Health settings, where she has provided counseling and crisis intervention services.

In 1989, she began her nearly 30 year tenure with the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, working as a Social Worker with the most vulnerable families in Los Angeles. She rapidly advanced through the ranks to the level of Administration where she gained skills in Supervision, Program and Policy Development, Community Engagement and Collaboration, Contracting and Monitoring, Budget and Financial Oversight, and Program Evaluation.

In her desire to balance her busy professional career, in 2007 she stumbled upon the practice of SoulCollage®, and excitedly signed up for a Facilitator’s Training with Seena Frost, and Kylea Taylor. She was deeply touched by this profound experience. Marilynne began to use the method to explore and deepen her own self-knowledge, and soon after, introduced and integrated this transformational work with the Foster Youth in her community, grassroots organizations, and non-profits, offering introductory SoulCollage® workshops. She has found her experiences working with her Community and Foster Youth very rewarding, and her work with adolescents is detailed in Seena’s second book, SoulCollage® Evolving.

Now retired, Marilynne maintains close ties to her community. She is a volunteer Docent at the California African American Museum, and networks and collaborates with other organizations to bring services, resources, and enriching experiences to her neighborhood.

In this transitional moment for the Organization, Marilynne wholeheartedly welcomes the opportunity to volunteer and take on a leadership role as a Board member, to further realize Seena’s vision. As part of her commitment, she recently refreshed her Facilitator Training in preparation for this exciting new role, and looks forward to offering her support and expertise as SoulCollage® continues to expand.

    Cary Sparks, M.A.

For nearly forty years, Cary has supported people on their inner journeys, holding compassionate space for personal growth and transformation.

Alongside her late husband, Tav Sparks, Cary co-directed Grof Transpersonal Training (GTT) until Tav’s passing in 2020. She began working with Stanislav and Christina Grof in 1990 and later, with Tav, carried the organization forward after the Grofs sold it to them in 1998. Over the decades, she has organized and facilitated countless Holotropic Breathwork® workshops and transpersonal trainings worldwide.

Certified in Holotropic Breathwork® since 1988 and a SoulCollage® Facilitator since 2019, Cary continues to guide others in accessing their intuition and inner healing wisdom. Both practices reflect her lifelong commitment to the empowerment of the individual and the healing impulse within us all.

Cary is the author of Incensed: The Novel, a humorous take on the world of transformational workshops. Her passions include birding, horses, music, nature, writing, and time with her family and cats.

She co-founded the Association for Holotropic Breathwork International (AHBI) and its newsletter The Inner Door, as well as The Institute for Holotropics, a nonprofit dedicated to education and the promotion of Holotropic Breathwork® and the holotropic perspective. Cary also serves on the boards of California River Watch, Marin Audubon Society, and the SoulCollage Institute.

Her leadership extends to the International Transpersonal Association (ITA), where she co-directed the 1995 ITA Conference Spirit in Action: Awakening to the Sacred in Everyday Life in Santa Clara, California, and previously assisted in organizing ITA events in Eugene (1991), Atlanta (1992), Prague (1998), and Palm Springs (2004). She has also served on the ITA Board of Directors.

Having supported Tav through his journey with memory loss and conscious dying, Cary now shares her experience, strength, and hope with others facing illness, dementia, and end-of-life transitions.
